How does hydraulic sesame oil press machine work?

The sesame seed oil expeller works through liquid hydraulic pressure transmission.

First, prepared sesame seeds are placed into the pressing barrel. The hydraulic system then generates pressure and transfers it through hydraulic oil to the pressing mechanism. As the pressure increases, the sesame seeds are compressed, allowing the oil to flow out while the remaining solid material forms an oil cake.

The basic process is:

Difference between hot pressing and cold pressing

The sesame oil press machine supports both hot and cold pressing.

For hot pressing, the heating temperature listed for the machine is 70–90°C. Heating can help prepare the oil-bearing material before pressing and is commonly used for materials such as sesame, peanuts, flaxseed, and oil-rich cereal germs.

Cold pressing uses lower-temperature processing to reduce heat exposure. This method can be used for materials such as walnut kernels, almonds, pine nuts, sunflower seeds, and other specialty oilseeds.

The appropriate pressing method depends on the raw material and the desired oil characteristics.
