Last month, a Russian nut processing company, with our assistance, completed a production upgrade, achieving full automation in almond processing. We provided the client with a complete almond shelling line, helping them significantly improve processing efficiency and the percentage of intact almonds.

Client background and challenges

This company primarily engages in the processing and sale of almonds, but previously lacked a complete almond shelling line, relying instead on individual pieces of equipment for processing. This resulted in the following problems:

  • Low production capacity: The use of separate, individual machines led to low production efficiency and an inability to meet market demand.
  • High breakage rate: Traditional shelling methods were inconsistent, resulting in a high rate of almond kernel breakage.
  • High labor costs: The discontinuous production process required a large amount of manual labor.
  • Complex operation: The lack of automation in processes such as feeding, screening, shelling, separation, and grading increased operational complexity.

Therefore, the client hoped to upgrade to a fully automated almond shelling production line to improve efficiency, reduce labor costs, and ensure product quality.

Suluhisho zilizobinafsishwa

To address the challenges faced by the customer, Taizy provided a completely customized almond processing line. The main steps of this production line are as follows: feeding → almond grading → almond shelling → shell and kernel separation → kernel grading.

The main equipment includes:

  • Material lifting machine
  • Mashine ya kuondoa maganda ya mlozi
  • Shell and kernel separation machine
  • Mashine ya kupima kernel

Maoni ya mteja

After the equipment was officially put into operation, the customer highly praised the performance of the entire almond shelling line. Compared with the previous method of using separate equipment for processing, the production performance has improved significantly:

  • With the automated continuous operation of the entire line, the overall processing efficiency increased by approximately 30%-40%.
  • The shelling effect is stable, and the integrity rate of almond kernels has increased from approximately 90% to over 95%.
  • The process that previously required 6-8 people to operate collaboratively can now be completed by only 2-3 people after the upgrade.

The customer stated that this production upgrade not only significantly improved processing efficiency and product quality but also effectively reduced long term labor costs, laying a solid foundation for the company’s future expansion of almond processing scale.
